The way the bones are collected is maybe artistic, but still horrifying...

SmadarSmadar's Treasurehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05976563907015200020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26348133.post-82957370284771608462008-05-16T12:08:00.000-04:002008-05-16T12:08:00.000-04:002008-05-16T12:08:00.000-04:00I really enjoyed reading your views and observatio...I really enjoyed reading your views and observations.JafaBrit's Arthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04490900607853203086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26348133.post-18190508548877503772008-05-13T22:53:00.000-04:002008-05-13T22:53:00.000-04:002008-05-13T22:53:00.000-04:00I think your statement is correct. Also, I think i...I think your statement is correct. Also, I think it is just another way to pay respects to the dead. When people die and are cremated or buried, we would not know they existed without the gravestone. This way many people see their existance, in a rather creative way...

Now these people died of the plague, but imagine if the same sort of church decor was created with the bones of genocide victims. Would that make it different?? Would it be an atrocity?? Or would it still be beautiful?

Seeing all those human skulls and bones reminded me that we are all the same inside no matter how we live or die. Just a little food for thought. The Lone Beaderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17670946654211536130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26348133.post-53963144081056507142008-05-13T22:31:00.000-04:002008-05-13T22:31:00.000-04:002008-05-13T22:31:00.000-04:00What sort of statement do you think it makes? I thought it was amazing that the bones are just placed on top of each other. They are not attached to each other at all. It really is an artistic way to use human remains... :0The Lone Beaderhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17670946654211536130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26348133.post-86360285957011181372008-05-13T16:26:00.000-04:002008-05-13T16:26:00.000-04:002008-05-13T16:26:00.000-04:00The bone church is amazing! Sort of reminds me of the attitude the Mexicans have towards death, as part of the cycle of things and facing it or confronting it.
Did you get that feeling?JafaBrit's Arthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04490900607853203086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26348133.post-71645548152687816982008-05-13T13:30:00.000-04:002008-05-13T13:30:00.000-04:002008-05-13T13:30:00.000-04:00ok the boney church still creeps me outxxpinksok the boney church still creeps me out

xx
pinksPinkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14002817889549140522noreply@blogger.com
