Laguna de Flamenco. Commissioned wildlife painting. 2005.
Commissions for beaded paintings will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. Great ideas for a commissioned piece include wildlife, pet portraits, hot rods, movie cars, fire trucks, airplanes, military vehicles, space ships, robots, city scenes, musical instruments, or anything else you can think of!
If you are interested in a custom beaded painting, please contact me for an estimate. Once an agreement has been reached, buyer is required to pay 50% of the estimate. Final payment is due when item is complete. Custom pieces can take anywhere from 2-10 weeks to complete depending on size & intricacy of the beadwork. Each piece is created by stitching tiny seed beads to felt 2 or 3 at time using needle & strong nylon thread, then the beadwork is stitched to a painted canvas. Standalone beadwork (which is not stitched to a canvas) can also be created. The progress of your piece may be documented on my blog. I own all rights to the beaded images I create.
If you are interested in a custom beaded brooch or pendant, payment for the full amount must be made in advance through my Etsy shop. Please note that items listed as made-to-order take time to create, and will ship no later than 7 days from purchase date. Due to the nature of this fine craft, no two pieces of beadwork will be exactly alike. Seed bead colours may vary slightly.
USPS First Class shipping is FREE on all pin/pendants priced over $50 in my Etsy shop! (Valid within the United States only.)
Small paintings will be shipped via United States Postal Service. Large paintings will be shipped via FedEx. Insurance is OPTIONAL, but highly recommended.
International buyers are welcome! First Class Air Mail will be used to ship small pieces (under 20″ x 20″) overseas. For larger works, please contact me to arrange proper shipment. Please remember, overseas buyers are responsible for any and all customs fees upon delivery.
Care Instructions for Beadwork
Bead paintings are ready-to-hang. There is no need for framing, although it is recommended. To preserve your piece, keep away from direct sunlight. To clean your piece, dust with a feather-duster, or a very lightly dampened cloth only if necessary. Do not use any household cleaners, as the chemicals will break down the threads that hold the beads in place. With a little bit of care, your piece will last many years to come.
If you have any other questions regarding commissions, please contact me through my official website, TheLoneBeader.com. Thank you for your interest!
