Looks like you switched the number of transparent and opaque beads. Now why, I'd have to see it up close and in person to judge the color effect that has.
it looks to me that you increased the number of transparent beads and by doing so you make the opaque beads pop up looking more like bricks. it gives the piece more depth. looking great. btw, how much time have you invested in the piece so far? or don't you keep track.
Huh! Now I've had a very close look and it seems to me that the opaque beads are all in 5 now and the clear ones are in 10 whereas before, they were kinda opposite but the numbers are a litte more random, with the white opaques being used more often. The left side is more uniform in your count. It is making a huge difference between the right side and the left side! "Now" she asks herself, "why would LB do that?" I'm wondering if there is some shading going on? Cheers, Denise
Hey, these are interesting photos and a great story - you might like our meme at Tell Me Thursday - you can make your WW really wordless and STILL tell the story! Give it a try!
Totally lol at LJ's comment! ;-) I certainly have been squinting and counting! 10-5 and reversed 5-10....I knew you were beading to shade the stone brick, but I think it's light too on the building. Light and shade. And, curious that the top white beads are 5 and as you get closer to the bottom they are 10...so that is giving the illusion, to me, of height. I don't think the building would be alive if you didn't play with pattern! It's fantastic!
OMG, I can't believe you are this far already...now I know you just don't sleep!!! LOL! And, when I claimed that I already took the award for *Queen* of slow beading...I know it's true. ~Lisa ;-)

Great work, as always.

I'm assuming the different bricks are because of the different times of construction and you are displaying that with your choices of beads.
This is such a cool piece. Love it.
Notice...devil that she is....she in not answering anyone here! She's letting us all squint and count and suffer :)
Wow! It's just amazing...the patience it must take!
Now, I'm not sure if I should answer after LJ's comment! ;) Denise, Jodi, & Carol are correct! :D
I don't know anything about beading, but that White House is freaking awesome.
Seriously cannot wait to see this finished.
