The last couple of days, I have been busy! I completed a commissioned piece (which I will show you soon). Then, I completed the reverse side of my beaded Boston fire hydrant. You will notice the nozzles that stick out. They are about 3/8" tall. These water nozzles were created using the peyote stitch, and let me tell you, it's not easy beading a circle out of cube-shaped beads! It kind of goes against nature, but I really like how it looks. :D
Next, I plan to stitch the two pieces of beadwork together somehow, so that it looks 3-dimensional.
Semi-beaded Boston fire hydrant. 4" x 1.75"w (10cm x 4cm).
When it is complete, this fire hydrant will accompany my beaded motorcycle - with or without a parking ticket... :o

Just as well nobody asks to commission a british hydrant - all the good stuff is underground!
Great job! The duo will be awesome!
Awesome work:)
An awesome job again!! You amaze me - have way more patience than I could ever hope for.
Do need to bead a dog to go with the hydrants though (LOL)
Wonderful! I love your style and ingenuity!
Lovin' all the pieces you have been working on of late, this one is no exception - very cool!
The fire hydrant looks great! I love that you are going to stitch them together for a 3-D look. So cool!
Heading backward to get caught up! ~Lisa
Wow! The danged comment box walked away from me, and when it came back, there was a picture of someone wearing my pax hat, my jacket, and...well...I guess we all have jeans, huh.
But, it's signed 'Lisa' so, I guess it isn't me.
Well, I was saying what a great camera you have to show us such cool pictures! They look like cubism art, sometimes.
And I always enjoy seeing some of your commenters avatars, beadworks, themselves. Willow's beautiful tree, Audrey's incredible heart, and the one that has the landscape? I forgot the name, but the vision of the rolling hills, tile roofed houses....WOW!
ALL of y'all are phenomenal beaders, I gotta say, and I'm not just blowing smoke up your....wait a minute.
Uh-oh. Here comes that beaded dog, again!
Watch out! Last time he came by, he lifted his leg and covered the hydrant in thread!
Watch out! Ohhhhh
too late.
(I went and looked...Gaston Studios. Dang! What a scene!)
Thanks for all the comments everyone! Jams, I will have to look into British hydrants to see what you are talking about!
Boneman, what a nice comment you left! Yes, some very talented beaders hang out here! =:)
And, Audrey, I actually wasn't planning to make a dog for this one... but could always add one at some point I suppose! :D
Those are very cool.
What a creative mind you have. These must take forever to make, plus be a bit stressful on the eyes. I much prefer to look at them!
I love coming to your blog, always puts a huge smile on my face! love your work!!! and these are GREAT!!!
Lookin' good!
