All day I was working on my second painting, and I'm still not sure I like it! I don't know if I like the clock parts, or how they are arranged on the canvas. I was going to take them off, and start all over! So, I decided to think about it, and work on my 3rd painting in the meantime. This will be part 3 of my beaded Back to the Future trilogy. It's the stage when my beaded time machine returns from a very cold future. Maybe this one will hold all the answers...Or, perhaps you do...

Please take a peek at my last DeLorean painting, and tell me whether:
a. You like the antique clock parts in the background.
b. You don't like the clock parts, and think they need to go.
c. You like the clock parts, but think they should be rearranged.
d. You think I should use seed beads instead of the clock parts.
e. You think I should use seed beads in addition to the clock parts.

I like the clock parts. However, there is something about them kind of circling around the DeLorean that doesn't seem right. Unfortunately, I can't picture the "right" alternative.
I like the "Clocks" but don't like the parts as much - I'd rather see either more clock/watch faces and even some calendar pages.
As far as bead go - you can never have too many beads!

I like the clock and parts but I think the addition of beads and a rearrangement of what is there is in order! In fact that is what seems wrong, it is too much in order, too balanced for going anywhere but around the block and has no sense of future or past too much, but the same old, same old . . .

Deirdre, I also thought that about more clock faces, but they are all white, and I think that would take away from the white headlights on my DeLorean!

I like the clock parts and I think maybe a spiral swirl pattern would look like they are moving through time. I also like the small calendar page idea.

The clock parts are cool, but I think there are too much of them for my taste. Less is more ... ;)
I am not sure about the clock parts and I am trying to figure out why because the concept is working. BUT I wonder like others if they need to be rearranged, maybe they look to equal in distance from each other. Ys, mary is right, they seem too balanced.
Definitely choice E - beading and your work specifically are not minimalist compositions.
