Thanks for all the comments on my last post! Yesterday, I actually did a little more painting, and today, I finally stitched my antique clock parts to my canvas. My beaded DeLorean time machine is not stitched to this painting yet because I'm not sure I'm finished. But, these photos should give you an idea of how it should look:
As you can see, Einstein's beaded time machine is actually traveling through the black hole toward the viewer, and it will stand about 3" from the canvas!

I think it's pretty clear that I was inspired by yesterday's astronaut story. Perhaps this was what it looked like after Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper lost her bag of tools during a spacewalk:

Like the lost tools, these time pieces of the past have now entered the Earth's orbit as space debris. What effect do you think this will have on our planet during the present time? :o

Coming along very nicely.
Space debris. Well, unrecognizable little particles by the time we see anything. Wonder if they will have DNA?
The antique clock parts as space debris is brilliant! Very cool.
I wonder what NASA would make of cogs and watch parts in space!
The watch parts are great accents for this work of Art. Encore has been playing all the "Back To The Future" movies this month. Every time I run across it on the guide I think of the work you are doing.
Thanks for the comments! The watch parts are interesting, for sure! Think I will put Back to the Future on right now!;)
Hi Lonebeader! Really, the debris looks really great. A bit like the e-guitar parts that I distributed in our living room. They are partly replacement, partly a new guitar.
The bag of tools lost by Heidemarie Somehow doesn't have to worry us. I hope, they will keep the ISS up, though, because this is a really huge thing! It will not entirely melt down into droplets of metal when entering the earth's atmosphere.
Keep on beading, it's really great !! Bye, Frank
Hi Frank! Thanks for your comment! I'm thinking maybe there should be more debris! We'll see... And yes, the International Space Station is fascinating! I am very interested to hear about their discoveries! :)
I'm loving the watch pieces!
The watch parts, etc., give more visual aid to what is happening -- I think they are an important part of this piece -- perhaps some beads in the background but that may take away from the over all effect.
Trust your own feelings --- haven't known you to go wrong yet with your beading.
