LOL. Yes, it's true!! Someone even called me to question whether I have purchased beads under a different account or not! I said no, and the woman said that all entries must contain beads purchased from there. I said that indeed the beads used in this piece were purchased from there! LOL. The woman got frustrated and hung up the phone. Then, a few weeks later, I received an email stating they had accepted my entry. LOL.
Congratulations!!! I will keep all fingers and toes and even my eyes crossed for you. It's also encouraging to know they will accept a piece that doesn't involve their products specifically.
Hey Diane, Loved Morrison, and love your piece dedicated to him. Your work amazes me ! Patience and a great eye for color and composition! Go go, and I hope you win that contest ! Glad they accepted your application, they should, see? How did they know where you got those beads? If they are smart, they will consider that ! Art On, friend! Linda linsart
Awww.. thanks for stoppin by, Linda! And, thanks for your kind words! I just keep stitching on beads until it looks right, I guess... LOL. A
nd, about FMG, well, I'm sure they considered the fact that the chosen winning pieces help to sell their beads since many of them are published in their catalog and in magazine ads. Personally, I don't care if I win or not, but I figured I had nothing to lose! :D
I shop at FM but only once or twice a year as I want the biggest discount. It's easier now than two years ago since each item adds up for that biggest discount. I get one of each thing usually like one tube of this color and one of that one. I guess they don't know some of us stock up for quite a while!
Glad your piece has gotten this far. Hope it wins.

I can't believe they would reject your piece becaue you didn't buy beads from them. I hope you win!!
CONGRATULATIONS once again, LB.
This is one of my favorite pieces that you have done. I guess if it has a dog in it, it is special to me LOL.
Really, this is one super piece.
Good luck.

Well, gee whiz, aren't they the slightly ungracious lot! I guess "no purchase necessary" doesn't always apply! Yeesh!
