One thing I've learned is that it's not easy to do bead embroidery on clear vinyl. Vinyl is kind of a flimsy material, so it's tough to stitch the seed beads in a straight line. Also, precise needlework is necessary to make sure you don't end up with a million tiny holes in the vinyl when you are finished. And, even though it is clear vinyl, you will still manage to stab yourself in the finger once or twice while beading. :o

It's a slow process but, it's all good. My beaded Boston trolley is finally starting to take shape. :D

Wow! things are moving fast with this one! I wondered how you were going to use the PC boards....it looks great and I like how the bead strings drape across them...this is totally cool!

And, it's moving fast?? I'm glad someone thinks so. LOL. It looks big in the last photo, but the trolley is only approx. 19" wide. :D
From the stand point that your work is so intricate and labor intensive, it certainly looks like you're moving fast to me too. In fact, I was going to ask you if you feel like you're getting better at beading or more efficient as you do these projects and share them with us?
I felt a little twinge of pain in a couple of fingers when you mentioned sticking yourself with the needle. Do you need a tetanus shot? ;-)
LOL! Jay, truthfully, I could probably use another tetanus shot. Every ten years, right?? But, believe it or not, I'm afraid of needles! :o
And, I think I'm getting a little more efficient. My problem is that I tend to envision each piece faster than I can physically create it. But, I'm sure this is common in every art/ craft.

oh my, stitching through vinyl, arg! how the heck did you manage, I tried sewing vinyl and it was a nightmare.
