Today, I finished my bead-embroidered lemur, Zoboo. He is named after the lemur on the children's television show, Zoboomafoo. This piece is an artist trading card, which means it measures 2.5" x 3.5" wide. In addition to layering the beads on his eyes, I also layered the beads for his fur about halfway around. His fur is made of tiny fringes that actually move when you touch them. I also stitched the piece of vinyl for his nose so that it really stands out. Then, I beaded his nose using size 15 and size 11 seed beads. To finish the beadwork, I added tiny fringes all the way around. The beadwork is glued onto an acid-free art card, which is signed and dated on the back. P
lease take the time to view more photos of Zoboo in my Etsy shop.
Also, here was the photo that inspired me to create Zoboo.
The real lemur is cuter, isn't he?

The real lemur is really cute.
Fast!!! And it turned out fabulous!
Wow, that is really incredible... what you can do with beads. This one turned out great! Inspiring to see what you do...makes me wish I wasn't all thumbs with stuff like this. I really like the way you can create texture and depth.
He's darling.
I like him! and he'd fit much easier into my life than the "real" one!
He's terrific! I loved that show! One of the benefits of having a child is license to watch all of the kids shows guilt free!
LB great job on the Lemur. Looks like you could reach out and pet him.
I really like the lemur in person and in beads. What a cute idea for an ATC!
Zoboo turned out fabulous. It's a really great ATC.
AWWWWW. Yup, gotta love Zoboo. My kids watch religiously!
wow, I am in awe of your work!
An amazing creature - thanks for bringing him/her to our attention!
oh he's so cute! what a fun fast project. Too bad they don't have a lemur virtual pet like Gavin.
